In Sum3d there are some glitches. One of the most common ones we have come across is during auto positioning. What happens is while the units are positioning in the puck, everything will freeze and you cant even escape from the program. This is a very easy glitch to get around.
Here are the steps to get around this:
-Open up task manager by right clicking on the start bar and click start task manager.
-Right click on the Sum3d and end task.
-After you are closed out of the program, just go right back in.
-When you go back in one of two things will happen. Either it will load that job automatically, and you are free to just re-select the puck and continue, or the software will say not responding and crash. This crash sometimes happens multiple times. If it does just let it sit for a couple seconds and go back in.
If you are seeing this glitch happening at an alarming rate, you can try an update to your Sum3d. The newer updates have not eliminated the problem, but it happens less frequently.
