This is the details of standard Millbox interface configuration.
The colors, button shapes, and button labels may be slightly different than your setup, but the actions of the buttons remain the same.
Millbox home interface has 4 areas for information or tools:
- Millbox App menu - contains access to Millbox version, license, and support help information
- Tools bar - contains main View controls, access to Job Tools, custom buttons access (depending on the Millbox build and configuration) and undo & redo action buttons
- Information window - displays information about the current job setup and units when they are selected
- Workflow wizard toolbar - access to the menus to walk-through the workflow to create a job
Tools Bar (Buttons on the left)
The buttons on the left change the view, select existing/recent job files, and provide access to the in-process tools that setup a job to mill.
- View changer and home view button
- Job Management Button
Resets resets the view to the home position.
The home position can be set to bottom, top, or isometric in the configuration menu.
Shows the current job information.
It includes the menu to manage jobs (New, Open, Save, or Save as..) and to list recent jobs.
Brings up the Tools menu, which has additional options used to create a job.
|Undo||This will undo the last set of changes made to the job.|
|Redo||This will redo the last undone action.
Other buttons that are custom to specific builds of MillBox may not get covered here, as it may be a reseller or equipment specific button function.
Workflow Wizard Toolbar (Buttons on the Right)
These the buttons walk you through the workflow. These buttons:
- create a new job,
- import designs,
- select materials, and
- calculate a job.
These buttons functions are covered in detail in the Getting Started section articles.
New job template created.
It will prompt you to select a machine, tool package, material, and/or fixture position.
Import the STL design(s) to mill.
To import multiple STLs, they must be the same type select objects and be in the same folder.
View new and existing material option.
Offers three options:
|Simulation||View simulation method and visualization.|
|Magic Button||(optional) Shows preconfigured workflows.
A system menu is located on the top left icon of the application window (1). Click on the icon to see the build version and to open the support help & version information window (2).
Switching between views in the Job Wizard toolbar
To change between the various right side views (Workflow Wizard Menus), such as going from "Start Mill" view to "Import STL" view, you will have close the view that's open, then open the view you want to see.
To go from "Start Mill" view to "Import STL" view, click "Start Mill" to close that view (or the red X on the bottom right), click the "Import STL" button.
In the clip below it will show how you have to click the open view button or the X button located on the bottom right typically to close the view. In the clip below highlights how the views do not change if clicking outside of the view.
