Millbox behaves differently than SUM3D. Below are items and tasks that are different in MillBox, and how to access/use them. Millbox builds on the foundation of the SUM3D application to optimize the workflow for dental CAM even more.
Immediately move units in graphical view
Click the unit to move the STL in the nesting step--along with changing, sprue type, sprue location--and functions like engraving, reporting, nesting, (and other tools) are in the Tools button.
Easier spruing and moving of units for nesting
Nesting is no longer required in order to manually select and confirm units to mill using multiple buttons and toolbars. An unit equator line is generated to help find the optimal location for units.
Dental toolbars are now in the Tools button
Toolbars from the Dental Bar (like engraving, reporting, nesting, and other tools) can be found in the MillBox Tools button.
Used discs saved in separate folders by height
Used materials are saved in Millbox in separate folders by material/height.
Rotating units with keyboard not possible
You cannot use +/- (numeric keypad or QWERTY) for incremental rotation. In MillBox, you have to use the graphical interfaces.
Reports can be automatically saved and opened after toolpath calculations
Reports can be automatically saved and opened, useful if you want to streamline your workflows.
