Using Millbox to setup new milling jobs is really easy with CAP-configured machines and setups.
- Click the new job button
- A machine list contains available machine setups
- Selecting a machine to setup and it will highlight.
- Select the tool set for machine (If available). Click the icon to open select other available sets.
- Select the material being used for the job.
- Confirm (or cancel) job
Select the machine
Click on the machine that you are setting up a job for.
If the machine you are setting up a job for is not listed, do not select a similar looking machine; that may damage the machine, or not work at all in the machine.
Toolsets / Tools available options
Machines either have a single toolset and will not have additional option available or if the Tools set is visible, there are options available. It is important that you choose the tool that the job requires. Choosing an incorrect tool may damage the machine, because tools and materials are paired to match each other's properties (hardness, flexibility, etc.).
Machines with single toolsets will be listed with the name and only an image of the machine.
Machines with Tools package will be listed with the name and image of the machine plus the name of the Tools package installed. Click the the Tool package icon to open.
Choose a tool set in the popout menu
Below is example of selecting a machine, opening the Tools set and choosing the tool, and picking the correct tool for the new job. A description or list of tools will show up. When you select one, the list will expand. The clip below is an example of this process but not representative of CAP's current installations of Millbox.
Select the material for the job
Click on the appropriate material for the job from the Materials list. If the material is not listed, the machine is currently not setup to support that material.
After selecting a material, a equipment image will show up set for that material.
For disc materials such as Zirconia, the standard 98mm fixture for that machine should show up.
Click the Check button to save your selections. A pop-up window will appear for importing an STL file; Millbox will automatically progress you through that workflow.
Positional Fixture machines & materials
Pin or mandrel-based positional locations are available with configured machines to specific materials. You must choose the position in the Position section.
When you select the material for the job that requires a positional selection. A fixture equipment icon will appear, and a pictorial list of all the positions on that fixture.
Click on a position in the Position list for the new job, then click the Check icon. The "Imported Selected File" window will appear.
How to setup additional positions are covered in later articles in this Millbox section.
